Something we know from South Africa open

Home favorite Charl Schwartzel was defeated by Andy Sullivan in a playoff of the South African Open Championship in Johannesburg. This was the first European tour victory for Sullivan. Andy Sullivan was seven strokes behind Charl Schwartzel, but with a great game and even better skills he won! They both made several mistakes, but Sullivan had a great recovery and won.

Sullivan stayed in the amateur competitions enjoying the glory he had there as the best player. At age 25 he started rising to the top of the professional game. He won many titles in many countries, just some of them are: Australia, Scotland and Argentina. In 2011 he was one of the members of the GB & I walker Cup. Since then he continues to improve himself. So last year he ended in 33th place at Race to Dubai, in Morocco, Turkey and Holland he was among top-five.

Last year Charl Schwartzel, birdied three holes in the final round. Triple bogey six at the par-3 6th, later a double bogey at 10th left him without any chance for winning. But the good side is that he finished in the top-five on 6 occasions.

Matthew Fitzpatrick, the young English player, had birdies on the 2nd and 4th, a bogey on the seventh, but then his success started to go down, He found the water on the 13th. He finished in top-five.

Pablo Martin Benavides finished in 4th place. He was the first amateur who won a European Tour event. Martin won this competition in 2007.
