Rory McIlroy Got Some Advice From Former World No. 1 Tiger Woods

Former world No. 1 Tiger Woods has some few words for the current world No. 1 Rory McIlroy who is at the moment nursing an injury. Getting advice from Woods is actually not a bad thing and the fact that he has had plenty of injuries through his career especially this year, makes it even more better. 

While speaking with ESPN.com as well as USA Today immediately after finishing practicing at St. Andrews, the topic of Rory emerged and Tiger went on to reveal that Rory McIlroy had actually sent him a photo the day he had the injury. 

“He did send me the photo that same day. We ended up talking about it for some time,” he said. “He actually stated that I myself had gone through this type of ordeal plenty of times and as a result he ended up picking my brain a little. I told him that he is actually doing the right thing by ensuring that he first take care of his body before he can be able to compete again.”

Just in case you are wondering what exactly happened to McIlroy, well, he ended up hurting his while playing with his friends soccer. The fact that he was playing soccer at such a crucial part of the season made some question Rory’s judgment. One group of people who have been supportive of Rory has been golfers including Mickelson who stated that golfers should be able to do what they like during their free time.
