Minjee Lee is awarded with the Kia’s Most Compelling Performance Award
A rookie Minjee Lee, showed us the incredible performance in her first victory on the famous LPGA Tour. She managed this just 9 days after her 19th birthday. Weather delay wasn’t a big problem for this your golfer. She recorded 3 birdies and 1 eagle in a 5 hole stretch. Holes that were in question are from 11 to 15. This personal success, made her in charge of the Kingsmill Championship, but also brought her Kia’s Most Compelling Performance Award. This award is for the month of May. Kia is the official partner of the LPGA.
At the beginning of the Kingsmill Championship, Lee started 2 strokes behind Perrine Delacour, the leader. She was 11 under. After a front nine, she found herself tied with So Yeon Ryu and Allison Lee. Minjee Lee started making birdies. She made 3 of them on holes 11-14. She recorded and eagle on the 15th hole.
On Monday morning (7 a.m.) Minjee found a problem on the 16th green, after she 3-putted for bogey. On the other side, Alison Lee made the putt for a birdie at the par 5 15th. Minjee didn’t allow that boogey to affect on her game. She closed the round with 2 2-putts.
